BIOGRAPHY

Benny Mayer is the manager and creator of "Ghost Lobster Studios". He is a musician, filmmaker, and producer for himself and other artists. He is currently studying Media Production (BA) at Webster University. He has directed the short film "Stood Up".  He has acted in the Bored Duck Productions film, "Into the Aether". He has written and edited scripts for Ghost Lobster Studios and other partnered production studios. Currently, he is in the preproduction stage of writing and directing Ghost Lobster Studios' original short film "What A Friend Does".

He has been playing guitar for 10 years, specializing in progressive metal. He has been a practicing vocalist for 5 years and has been trained by Robert Ayllon for 2 years. He has been composing and producing his music for 7 years, following more rock/metal influence in his writing while incorporating unusual elements and blending opposing genres. He has officially put out 2 EPs (2020 and 2021) and 1 LP (2020). He is also in the process of building his career in audio production by helping other artists write and produce their music. He loves vocal production and tries to push boundaries by blending different production styles and using different filters and microphone techniques. 

 

He has been active on YouTube under the username since 2017, originally using his original name and putting out content that varies from sketches, to covers, and original music. The channel now is officially "Ghost Lobster Studios" and has 3,900 subscribers. His most viewed video “If you can play it slowly, you can play it quickly” has 2.3 million views. 

 

His goal is to promote independent artists, and to connect misfit artists in a single community.
